Euclid Records 45th Birthday Party
When Joe Schwab opened his store on Euclid Avenue in the Central West End in February 1981, vinyl reigned supreme, cassette tapes were still big sellers and there was no such thing as CDs.
45 years later, vinyl is once again the top selling music format, CDs come in second place followed by young folks snapping up cassette tapes. Euclid Records now has 5 generations of customers flipping through the bins 7 days a week at their 2-story record store at 19 N. Gore Avenue in Webster Groves, MO.
