The Family Birthplace at SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis 5K and Community Baby Shower
In celebration of Black Maternal Health Week – and to help raise awareness of the maternal mortality crisis among Black women in The United States – BKM 4 Life Foundation for Fitness and Health and The Family Birthplace at SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis are hosting a 5K Run/Walk and Community Baby Shower on the hospital's campus on Saturday, May 2.
Join us as we come together to better understand and support the health and well-being of Black women, who:
• Are three times more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than White women.
• Have a higher maternal mortality rate than any other race in the country.
