Soup and Champagne All White Affair

The 7th Annual Soup and Champagne All White Affair, the Caribbean cultural pinnacle of Miami, today announced its highly anticipated 2026 return. Slated for Thursday, January 1, 2026 at NoMi Village (12351 NW 7th Avenue, North Miami, FL 33168), this illustrious event promises a night of luxury, music, and elegance, all beautifully woven around the cherished Haitian tradition of Soup Joumou, symbolizing freedom and national pride. The cornerstone of the event is the serving of Soup Joumou (pumpkin soup), a rich tradition that carries immense cultural weight. On January 1, 1804, revolutionary leader Jean-Jacques Dessalines declared Haiti’s independence, marking the only successful slave revolt to result in a sovereign state. During French colonization, this delicacy was reserved solely for the white masters, and enslaved people were forbidden to consume it. In celebration of their hard-won liberation, the newly freed people of Haiti made Soup Joumou the iconic dish of New Year's Day, transforming it into a lasting symbol of independence, freedom, and pride. Guests attending the all-white affair will immerse themselves in an unforgettable experience that elevates Haitian art and heritage. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the main show starting at 9:00 PM. This year features a live performance by the renowned artist Ruthshelle Guillaume, alongside esteemed celebrity hosts and artists, a live band, and a DJ set that keeps the celebration going until dawn. Attendees, who range from business owners and professionals to community leaders and families, share an interest in cultural exchange, fostering a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. The event is presented by Jones Pierre & Morhanges “Haitian Poohbear” in collaboration with the City of North Miami Vice Mayor Kassandra Timothe. “We are thrilled to bring the community together for the 7th year to honor the legacy of Haitian Independence,” says Jones Pierre, Event Organizer. “This event is more than just a party; it is a powerful celebration of our resilience and heritage. By sharing Soup Joumou, we honor the victory of 1804 and provide a moment of collective pride and good luck to start the year right. We invite everyone to dress in their finest white attire and join us for an elegant journey through Haitian culture.” The Soup and Champagne All White Affair is committed to its mission of elevating Haitian culture and creating unforgettable experiences that attract new attendees each year. The event proudly stands as a beacon of cultural expression in the heart of North Miami.
