Meals on Wheels South Florida's 36th Annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery Project
Now more than ever, our seniors need nutritious meals, safety checks, and friendly visits from their caring neighbors. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like Cigna Healthcare, Walmart Sunrise, and Winn-Dixie Plantation, Meals on Wheels South Florida and their dedicated team of volunteers will deliver nearly 200 hot Thanksgiving meals to home-bound seniors on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
Who: Meals on Wheels South Florida staff and volunteers visit clients on Thanksgiving morning and present them with a hot turkey meal with all the trimmings, homemade placemats, and a friendly holiday hello.
What: These meals are delivered to Meals on Wheels South Florida’s senior clients who are home-bound and without family to visit them for Thanksgiving. The meal box includes roasted turkey, stuffing, seasonal vegetables, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pumpkin pie.
When: Thursday, November 28, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
