On April 21, 1966, the Julius’ Bar Sip-In challenged discrimination and helped spark a national movement for LGBTQ+ equality. Sixty years later, Stonewall joins the NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project and partners nationwide in honoring this landmark act of courage.
On April 21, 2026, individuals, organizations, and venues across the country will stand in solidarity with the anchor event at Julius’ Bar in New York City.
