THE MARKETPLACE AT FACTORIA WELCOMES YEAR OF THE SNAKE WITH A FUN-FILLED LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
On Saturday, February 1st, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Marketplace at Factoria, a family-friendly shopping destination in the suburban community of Bellevue, Washington (https://marketplaceatfactoria.shopkimco.com), will welcome the Year of the Snake with a fun-filled Lunar New Year celebration featuring traditional lion dancers and guzheng music as well as a Lunar New Year fair hosted by the Emerald Parents Association, a local non-profit serving Chinese families in the greater Seattle area, with crafts, demonstrations and tastings (courtesy of Dim Sum Factory and T&T Supermarket). The Emerald Parents Association fair is made possible through funding from King County Council District 9. There will also be an immersive display of Chinese culture from January 22nd through February 7th and a month-long opportunity to pose in front of the center’s two colorful Lunar New Year selfie spots from January 31st to February 28th. These events and activities are free of charge and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. Crafts and tastings are while supplies last.
