ISSAQUAH COMMONS TO HOLD BACK-TO-SCHOOL DRIVE


Issaquah Commons, an open-air lifestyle center in Issaquah, Washington, (https://www.issaquahcommons.com), together with KidVantage, an organization dedicated to providing essential care, safety, and health goods for children in need, will host a “Pencils and Pants” back-to-school clothing and supplies drive on Thursday, August 7th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the drive, KidVantage will collect new school supplies, including college and wide-ruled lined paper (loose leaf and spiral bound), graph paper, glue sticks, erasers, pencil sharpeners, colored pencils, crayon boxes, marker boxes, and backpacks. New or gently used school clothing is also requested (all sizes are welcome). Some of the items most needed clothing items are pants for boys (sizes 5-12) and girls (sizes 2-12); long-sleeved shirts for boys (sizes 6 – 14) and girls (sizes 5-14); sweatpants (sizes 3-12) and sweatshirts (boys sizes 8 – 12 and girls sizes 5, 7 and 8); pajamas for boys (sizes 7 and 10-12) and girls (sizes 10-12); and shoes for boys (sizes 11-13) and girls (all sizes). Donations will be accepted at the KidVantage van in the parking lot near Athleta and Chico’s. Everyone who donates will receive a coupon from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
