Black Makers & Creatives Event at Hyatt Regency Lake Washington

The event will spotlight the creativity, culture and talent of Black artists and creators in the greater Seattle area with ticket sales benefitting Family First Community Center, a Renton-based non-profit organization founded by former Seattle Seahawks player Doug Baldwin Jr. This year’s event theme is “I Choose You,” a letter to Black love, music and lyricism. This immersive event will transport attendees into a world where creativity meets poetry and art, featuring a diverse collection of musically themed artwork that explores themes of love, desire, heartbreak and healing. Featured artists and performers will include Anokye Agofomma, a Ghanian cultural dance group, a fashion show featuring Black clothing designers, Monae Brown of Moes Art Gallery, and Chloe Morris of Couture Creations by Chloe. Additionally, the event will feature pop-ups from Black-owned food and beverage vendors including Soul Fusion Food, Sansinos Catering, and On Blended Knee, a Woodinville-based winery. The Black Makers and Creatives event will take place on Sunday, March 1 starting at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased by visiting Tickets | 4th Annual Black Makers & Creatives Art Exhibit | Hyatt Regency Lake Washington. All ticket sales proceeds from the Black Makers & Creatives event will be donated to Family First Community Center, an organization dedicated to serving the community through a wide range of services including financial literacy workshops for parents, “Mathletics” classes for children, senior storytelling sessions, and much more.
