An Evening with David Sedaris

David Sedaris returns to Seattle for his annual reading and signing at Benaroya Hall on Sunday November 10, 2024 at 7pm. With wickedly funny irreverence and occasional potty humor, he will once again delight the audience as he shares both published stories and works-in-progress. If we must live in such interesting times, there is no one better to chronicle them than the incomparable David Sedaris. David’s sardonic with and incisive social critiques make him one of America’s preeminent humor writers. Likened to a modern-day Mark Twain, he is noted for his ability to draw humorous, touching, and universal observations about human nature from his own, often quirky, experiences. A master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers, David is a best-selling author with titles including Me Talk Pretty One Day, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls, and The Best of Me. His latest book is entitled Happy-Go-Lucky. Sedaris will once again delight the audience as he shares both published stories and works-in-progress. His most recent book of essays Happy-Go-Luck debuted in the #1 spot on the New York Times bestseller list. In its review, the Washington Post said, “David Sedaris is a singularly talented humorist who lands acerbic zingers with the calculating precision of a kamikaze pilot…He’s maintained league-of-his-own status by staying light on his feet: Just when you’re expecting a wry jab, he clocks you with a poignant gut punch.” Northwest Associated Arts (NWAA), KNKX (88.5fm), and The Stranger present An Evening with David Sedaris. Tickets are $70 – $80 and are available through the Benaroya Hall Box Office, at 206.215.4747 or online at www.benaroyahall.org About David Sedaris: David Sedaris is one of America’s pre-eminent humor writers.
