Auburn Symphony Orchestra: Joyful Triumph

Adam Schoenberg’s Cool Cat is a cinematic tribute to P-22, the beloved Hollywood mountain lion who became a symbol of resilience. Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy, featuring the expressive artistry of violinist Rachel Lee Priday, blends lyrical beauty with the spirit of Scottish folk music. The evening culminates in Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5, a work the composer described as “a symphony on the greatness of the human soul,” composed in the final years of World War II.
