Class Experience
Shakespeare’s language is beautiful, intricate, and not always easy, but is always a rewarding challenge for the actor. In this class students will work on scenes, monologues, and perhaps a poem or two as they gain facility with Shakespeare’s language and learn how to make the words their own on stage. By the end of the week students will understand Shakespeare’s basic poetic structure, learn how to break down a text in order to properly rehearse it, and gain experience speaking and acting some of the English language’s most beautiful verse. Concludes with a performance for families and friends.
Notes
Performance on Friday at 3:00pm.
