People of the Book: The Klansman’s Son with Adrienne Black
Growing up in the shadow of David Duke and father, Don Black, both Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizards, Adrienne Black was raised to take over the white nationalist movement in the United States. Hear their incredible story of renouncing white nationalism in 2013 after attending New College, coming out as transgender, and facing violent backlash from both family and community. Since publicly renouncing their former beliefs, Black has been profiled in the Washington Post, People, and O! magazine, and has been interviewed for Fresh Air, The Daily, On Being, The Daily Show, and has been recognized by the Anti-Defamation League.
