SONGWRITER NIGHT AT THE CLEVER CUP
Singer-Songwriter TANYA RADTKE won the Best Original Songwriting Award at the 2012 Deland Original Music Festival for her song "Dreaming of Abe." Her songs have been described as "thought-provoking, philosophical, spiritual, and optimistic." She recorded two albums as a member of local group Passerine, and her solo album is entitled "Begin." Most recently, she was a featured performer for Singer-Songwriter Night at Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center.
CAREY CHANEY played his first gig at the age of 15. In the years that followed, according to the Venice Florida Herald Tribune, Chaney performed in "such diverse places as Leavonworth Women's Prison, the Troubadour in Los Angeles, and Napa State Hospital in Northern California." Since Moving to Florida in 2001, Carey Chaney has been a musical guest on WSLR Community Radio in Sarasota, has played at Fogartyville Media and Arts Center, and Common Grounds in North Port, two of the area's best performance venues. ROBER KILLIAN has recorded with Peter, Paul, and Mary, Pete Seeger, Tom Chapin, and John Sebastian. He has shared a stage with Bruce Springsteen, Otis Blackwell, Doc Watson, and many others. He has appeared at Carnegie Hall, and on National TV. His song "Light A Candle" was recorded by Peter, Paul, and Mary and Pete Seeger, and his song "There'll Come A Day" was recorded with Pete Seeger.
