Sarasota Pineapple Drop Carnival

Enjoy a two-day carnival with midway rides, games and fair food for the whole family, part of the annual Pineapple Drop Block Party on Dec. 31 featuring live music and DJs, a New Year's countdown and fireworks. Event admission is free. Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36" & taller), valid all day Tuesday and till 6 pm on Wednesday, are $37 on site ($35 cash) till 5 pm Wednesday, or online before 1 pm Tuesday for $29 each, 2/$55 or 4/$99. Ride tickets, valid anytime, are available at the carnival and discounted online pre-sale for $45/50 tickets + 1 free ride. (Rides take multiple tickets each.) The New Year's Eve block party, hosted by the Sarasota Downtown Merchants from 1 pm-1 am, features special offers at local eateries and entertainment on three stages including Naughty Girl, Chas Collins, Gas House Gorillas and SRQ Beats.
