Jazz Thursday at the SAM features Hot Club SRQ
Join us for live jazz at Sarasota Art Museum, hosted by the Jazz Club of Sarasota, with extended hours in the galleries, Bistro, and SHOP! Sip on refreshing cocktails and enjoy small bites in the Bistro. On March 5, enjoy the music of Hot Club SRQ with Keven Aland, John McLaughlin and Glenn Stevenson. Hot Club SRQ plays Gypsy Jazz, music that is deeply rooted in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. This music simply swings and is full of beauty and romance. While Hot Club SRQ pays homage to the creators and masters of this sound, they have forged their own unique sound. Enjoy a mix of swing, ballads, tango, Flamenco, bossa nova and straight ahead jazz. Concert begins 5:30 pm; Tickets: museum members and supporters free, limited number of free tickets for Jazz Club members, others admission $25.
