SUP Englewood hosts its monthly Coffee & Conservation series on the third Tuesday of each month at the Englewood Chamber of Commerce. This community gathering connects residents with the local nonprofits working every day to protect the ecosystems we love. Our upcoming event features Ashley Cook from the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center (CHEC) presenting: “Animal Neighbors” This engaging presentation explores the wildlife that shares our coastal and inland habitats, from native mammals and reptiles to the species that rely on our backyards, preserves, and waterways. Attendees will learn how everyday choices impact local wildlife and how our community can become better stewards of the places we call home. What to Expect: • Complimentary coffee and pastries, provided by our local partner The Dearborn Coffeehouse & Bakery (Joe Maxx) • A 60-minute educational presentation • Q&A with Ashley Cook • Community networking with conservation-minded residents and businesses This event is open to the public. We encourage: • Residents and community leaders • Boaters, paddlers, and outdoor enthusiasts • Families interested in learning more about local wildlife • Eco-tour providers and outdoor businesses • Anyone who wants to understand and protect Southwest Florida’s ecosystems We all enjoy the beauty of Lemon Bay, Gasparilla Sound, and the surrounding preserves. But with access comes responsibility. Wildlife doesn’t exist “out there.” They are our neighbors. Understanding their behaviors, habitat needs, and vulnerabilities helps us reduce unintended impacts and protect the biodiversity that makes this region special. Education builds stewardship. Stewardship protects community. Coffee & Conservation is organized and funded by SUP Englewood, 100% of donations collected at the event go directly to the featured nonprofit. This series exists to elevate and support the organizations doing the real conservation work in our area. Each month features a new conservation topic, including manatees, sea turtles, native plants, birds, water quality, and more. Each event highlights the experts and organizations protecting Southwest Florida’s natural resources. Space is limited. RSVP to secure your seat and be part of a community that protects what it loves.
