A truly extraordinary experience! Watch and listen as Mr. Perlman works with the students to perfect the pieces they will perform at the Celebration Concert. Enjoy his comments, humor and engagement with the students and audiences at these special evenings. Students are seated non-competitively to eliminate the pressure of “ranking.” Seating is rotated for each movement, so each player has a chance to take on leading and supporting roles.
On January 5, the Super Strings students coordinated by Lena Cambis, founder of the Sarasota Music Conservatory, sit side-by-side with PMP students under the baton of Maestro Itzhak Perlman.
January 6 is a regular PMP Orchestra rehearsal with Mr. Perlman conducting.
