ACE - Learn to Weave (pre-requisite: Intro to Weaving)
So, you've always wanted to learn to weave! Now is your chance. This class will cover learning the parts of the loom, making a warp, “dressing” the loom, and reading weaving drafts. Everyone will complete one weaving project in class with warp left over for experimenting and playing.
A deposit of $250 will be required for use of a loom, if a student does not own one (table looms are supplied by the Manasota Weavers Guild). The deposit check is held and returned upon safe return of loom. Instruction provided by members of the Manasota Weavers Guild. Students must purchase the book "Learning to Weave" by Deborah Chandler (approximately $20) at the first class or can be purchased from an online vendor.
