ACE – Abstract Painting: Experimenting with Acrylic Mediums, All Levels
Abstract art encompasses a wide range of approaches and techniques. We will look at contemporary artists who utilize a range of methods and acrylic mediums in their work. Mediums we will use include: crackle paste, texture pastes, pour medium, fluid and gel mediums, drawing tools & collage papers. Classes will include demonstrations and discussions based on the abstract art concepts and techniques of these artists. Lessons will be taught in steps so that you can learn and practice techniques while building confidence, and students will be encouraged and supported in creating their own composition in the styles discussed. The goal of this class is to loosen up and further develop your expressive painting skills in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
