“Beyond Blue Yonder” Abstract artworks by James Ong
Like a lost explorer James Ong ventures into the great unknown without a map, with only his intuition and experience to guide him. What he seeks is to create thought-provoking, memorable experiences through his art and design.
Painting is James’s meditation. His paintings depict imaginary places, things, or memories. He is drawn towards Eastern thinking and aesthetics, especially Zen Buddhism and Japanese art and design where his imagination can wander and play without constraint.
As an ex-Engineer, James attended art school focusing on toy design. He is a self-taught painter, learning through books, videos, and experimentation.
When not making art, James likes to read and think deep thoughts about art, design, and life.
