Empty -> Full: A HeART Poetry Workshop with Unhae Langis and Heejin Lee
This workshop explores Eastern nature wisdom via the Zen-Daoist concepts of interconnectedness, change, and balance.
The phenomenon of interbeing, as manifested through dynamic time, becomes the interaction of parts and participants in the “full emptiness” of the Whole. This wisdom nurtures wholeness in times of disintegration, an inner strength to inspire creativity and empower social change. Haiku becomes our medium to practice mindful perception, to catch a moment in life as it is.
We will brainstorm key concepts, discuss and write haikus and circle poems, accompanied by watercolor and pencil drawing, for those who opt for artistic expression.
In collaboration with Heejin Lee, programming in relation to Fullness Emptiness Exhibition.
