Opera in the Vineyard

Livermore Valley Opera's beloved summer tradition returns to Garré Vineyard & Winery for an unforgettable evening of opera favorites, Broadway classics, and Great American Songbook gems performed by outstanding professional artists in a relaxed outdoor setting nestled among the vines.
Now celebrating its 35th Anniversary Season, LVO invites you to pack a picnic basket, gather your favorite people, and settle in for a summer evening filled with music, laughter, and community. Wine is available for purchase from Garré Vineyard & Winery, and the grove provides a stunning backdrop as the afternoon light fades into a warm Livermore evening.
What makes Opera in the Vineyard truly special is how personal it feels. The singers perform right at your table, moving through the crowd and connecting with guests in a way that larger venues simply cannot offer. You can see every expression, feel every note. Whether you are a lifelong opera lover or hearing your first aria over a glass of wine, this is an evening designed to welcome you.
This season features two completely unique performances with different artists and different programs, making each evening its own experience. The June 28 performance features soprano Liesl McPherrin, mezzo-soprano Edith Dowd, tenor Joachim Luis, baritone Andrew Pardini, and pianist Chun Mei Wilson.
A fan favorite also returns: Arias à la carte. Guests can purchase songs from a menu of arias and have the singers perform right at their table or seating area. It is one of the most personal and memorable touches of the evening, and a reason many guests come back year after year.
The event also features a raffle drawing and silent auction. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic dinner. No outside alcohol is permitted.
