Susan Grabowski art show in Gallery 9
In November Gallery 9 will be sparkling with colorful paintings by San Mateo based artist Susan Grabowski. “The primary focus in my work is to represent light. The sun’s light is the source of all life, which is amazing to realize!”, the artist says. This show is a curated selection of works in oil, acrylic, and gouache, all with the focus on how light both creates the composition and informs the color. Grabowski works both in her San Mateo studio and outdoors (en plein air) in locales from the beaches of California to the rocky bluffs of coastal Maine, and many places between. This is Grabowski’s first solo show in Gallery 9, she has exhibited in several Cape Cod, NY, NJ, and California galleries.
The artist promises the viewers an explosion of light and color inspired by anything from the spectacular, breathtaking vista to the mundanity of her kitchen counter bathed in early morning light. Join us for the opening reception on November 1st, 5-8 pm, to meet the artist and let yourself be embraced by the light!
