Judi Keyani presents "Changing the Subject" Works on Paper during September
Gallery 9 presents paintings and drawings by Judi Keyani, including both current and earlier work done on paper supports.
Paper is one of the oldest materials used for doing art. In its modern use, it takes various forms, from watercolor paper to sandpaper and other types in between. “I very often do pastel paintings and the papers especially for that use can be smooth or textured and come in a variety of colors, which influences aspects of the composition”, Judi explains. “There is a lot of latitude in those choices, largely dependent on the image which will be created. Some of the work included here reveals those various effects."
