Gallery 9 invites you to Joseph Fuchs’ Show Villa de’Este, Tivoli; drawings and Oil paintings with all Encompassing Light and Detail.
Every artist deals with some degree of light. In this show Joseph Fuchs’s light elicits in his oil paintings an all-encompassing atmosphere, an effect that offers the viewer a singular emotion - be it, standing in front of a fountain in “Villa de’ Este” or standing on a hillside in “Spring’s Herald.”
Many claim that Fuchs’s drawings have a photogenic quality as noted in “Alessi Salt and Pepper Shaker.” A 65-year-old gauche drawing of his will be exhibited to underscore that this ability is primarily innate.
Light creating an all-encompassing atmosphere and photogenic realism of his oil paintings and drawings are the core of Joseph Fuchs’s show.
