“The dress remains, the energy lingers.” In her new solo exhibition, "Taken by the Wind, swept by the Light," Ayelet Gal-On presents a series of paintings that capture the invisible. Her subjects—ethereal white dresses hanging as if on a line—defy the stillness of the canvas. Through a masterful play of light and shadow, Gal-On makes the fabric breathe.
These are not empty garments; they are silhouettes of a lingering presence, caught in a permanent dance with the elements. The wind provides the motion, the light provides the form, and the paintings provide a window into a world that feels vibrantly inhabited, even in its solitude.
“My art is an exploration of feelings and ideas. I love the process of playing with color to find new, authentic ways to express the things words can't quite capture,” Ayelet says.
