Over the years Roy has made numerous trips to several southwestern states. These states are part of the Colorado Plateau, uplifted many millions of years ago. The Grand Canyon is probably the most well-known feature, but it is only one among many more creations of unusual erosion patterns, created by a massive amount of erosion.
This exhibit shows a selection of these landscapes scattered over the states of Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. The Black & White images emphasize incredible patterns that seem to come out of nowhere.
As a long time member of Gallery 9, Roy began his photography with film and printing in a darkroom but now captures new images and prints digitally. He has also contributed extensively to the B&W digital printing community worldwide with software targeting B&W images.
