Are you tired of feeling tense, fatigued, or uncomfortable after sitting for long periods? Do you struggle with maintaining an upright, relaxed posture at work, at home, or when you're out and about? This workshop is designed to help you find greater ease, comfort, and balance in how you sit—whether you’re at a desk, in a meeting, or simply relaxing.
In this workshop, you will:
Explore the Mechanics of Sitting: Learn how to align your body to support natural curves and reduce strain on your back, neck, and shoulders.
Develop Awareness: Discover how subtle shifts in your posture and body movements can drastically improve how you sit and move throughout the day.
Cultivate Relaxed Strength: Explore ways to sit with more freedom and less effort, reducing tension while improving overall stability and comfort.
Enhance Flexibility and Coordination: Learn how to use the pelvis, spine, and legs to support your sitting posture in a way that feels effortless and sustainable.
Using gentle, mindful movement sequences and guided awareness, we will focus on re-educating your body to find more supportive, effortless ways of sitting upright. The Feldenkrais Method, through its emphasis on subtle movement and body awareness, helps to retrain your neuromuscular system, improving posture, mobility, and overall body function.
Whether you are sitting at a desk, commuting, or simply enjoying time in a chair, this workshop will provide you with tools you can use immediately to improve your sitting experience.
No prior experience is necessary—just bring curiosity and a willingness to explore new ways of moving!
