Summer Festival: Beethoven Piano Sonatas
Music@Menlo proudly presents one of music’s supreme achievements: the complete thirty-two piano sonatas of Beethoven. Composed across his entire creative life, these landmark works chart the evolution of a composer who transformed the course of music. Performed in eight concerts over two seasons, this monumental cycle is brought to life by pianist Gilles Vonsattel, whose virtuosity, insight, and artistry make him an ideal guide through Beethoven’s extraordinary journey.
