With a critical shortage of geriatricians, older adults need to be informed and proactive in their healthcare. Dr. John Newman, a geriatrician at UCSF and faculty member at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, will share essential knowledge on aging, mobility preservation, and delirium prevention. He aims to translate aging biology to enhance care and independence for older adults and will discuss current clinical trials at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, which you may want to participate in.
Dr. Newman holds a BS/MS from Yale University and an MD/PhD from the University of Washington, with training in internal medicine and geriatric medicine at UCSF.
This will be an informal conversation, with a time for questions and an opportunity to learn about the Buck's clinical trials.
