Santacon San Francisco 2025

San Francisco SantaCon 2025 – The Original, Free, Chaotic Holiday CrawlGet ready for the most wonderfully ridiculous day of the year! On Saturday, December 13, 2025, thousands of Santas, elves, reindeer, and holiday misfits will flood the streets of San Francisco for the annual SantaCon, the original massive, unsanctioned, gloriously disorganized holiday pub crawl that started right here in SF back in 1994. Event Details Date: Saturday, December 13, 2025 Kickoff Time: 12:00 PM (noon) – the horde traditionally gathers in Union Square Ending Time: Whenever you decide (or pass out responsibly) Cost: Always 100% FREE – no tickets, really Age: Strictly 21+ Dress Code: Santa suit, elf outfit, ugly Christmas sweater, or anything festive and red. Bonus points for creativity. How It Works There is no official route, no list of participating bars, no wristbands, and definitely no tickets. SantaCon is beautifully chaotic by design. Start at Union Square at noon with the main crowd (look for Santa Tom to drop off an unwrapped toy for the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program), then let the day take you wherever the holiday spirit (and cheap drinks) lead. Popular post-Union Square neighborhoods include Polk Street and the Tendernob offer plenty of Santa-friendly bars within stumbling distance: Mayes Oyster House, McTeagues, Lush Lounge, Route 101, Wreck Room, R Bar, and many more. Important Reminders – Don’t Be a Grinch -DO NOT buy tickets. Anyone selling “official SantaCon tickets” is running a scam. The real event is and always will be free. -Behave yourself. No fighting, vandalism, theft, public urination, or general jackassery – we’d like to keep SantaCon alive in SF for another 30 years. -Respect bars that don’t want 400 drunk Santas at once – there are plenty that do. -Eat food, pace yourself, stay hydrated, and look out for your fellow Santas. -Tip your bartenders and servers generously – they’re the real heroes of the day. -If you see a lonely Santa, friendless Santa, invite them into your crew. No one should be alone during the holidays. Bring your holiday cheer, your ugliest sweater, a toy for the kids, and your best behavior (mostly). Whether it’s your first SantaCon or your fifteenth, this is the one day a year it’s socially acceptable to day-drink in a Santa suit with thousands of your closest strangers.
