Mike Henderson : Afternoon Tunes at The Saloon!
The Saloon, established in 1861, is legendary bar in the heart of North Beach presenting live music, mostly blues, in the afternoon from 4 - 8 pm and again at 9:30 pm until 1:30 am.
Mike Henderson is an accomplished blues guitarist, dubbed as "the Blues Professor" by John Lee Hooker,[14] and has performed alongside Albert King, Albert Collins, Bo Diddley, James Cotton, and Lightnin’ Hopkins. His interest in music, particularly blues and improvisation, is often cited as an influence on his abstract painting practice and has released three albums on the Pathway label. Mike is also an accomplished visual artist.
