Eth-Noh-Tec presents "STRONG LIKE BAMBOO 3: Stories of Resilience from Across America"

The Declaration of Independence declares that all men are created equal and that they are endowed with certain inalienable rights such as Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. Strong Like Bamboo 3 gathers seven nationally renowned storytellers from across the many diverse peoples of America sharing their stories of resilience as they maneuvered the challenges in their pursuits for equality, and are able to find hope, strength and resilience in the process. A panel will follow with dialogue between tellers and audience to encourage unity and togetherness; a bundle of bamboo stalks tied together that become unbreakable. A celebration of Life, Liberty and Happiness in our collective lives to celebrate who we are.
Eth-Noh-Tec, a kinetic Asian American storytelling non-profit, was founded in 1981 by Nancy Wang, actor, dancer and choreographer, and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo, actor, musician and composer. Our mission is to build cultural bridges that celebrate diversity and create compassionate communities through the art of storytelling. ENT is an award winning non-profit and has performed around the world to standing ovations with their unique form of movement storytelling laced with gesture and musicality, including performances for the Clinton and Obama Inaugural Celebrations in DC. With both ancient Asian folktales and inspiring contemporary Asian American stories, Eth-Noh-Tec's artists are also authors and are presently archiving over 200 performance pieces.
