Jamel Johnson developed his voice in the D.C. comedy scene with a distinctive blend of high-energy delivery, offbeat storytelling, and sharply specific—yet widely relatable—sports and music references. His material ranges from casual racism and gentrification to Law & Order: SVU and the small moral decisions that quietly define adulthood, all delivered with a style that brings both casual fans and comedy obsessives along for the ride.
He made his television debut on Kevin Hart Presents: Hart of the City and has since appeared in Hulu’s Memes & Nightmares and Bleacher Report’s Sneak This. Beyond performing, Jamel has contributed creative consulting to The Eric Andre Show and has guested on comedy podcasts including Stavvy’s World, My Momma Told Me, The Adam Friedland Show, and All Fantasy Everything.
