This 8-week workshop offers actors a focused and experiential approach to Method-based work. Guided by Julie Dimas-Lockfeld, students train through body and voice warm-ups, individual scene work, and applied technique. Each week introduces a new layer—sensory awareness, atmosphere, objectives, actions, obstacles, and character arc—building toward a more grounded, truthful approach to performance.
The class draws from the lineage of teachers connected to the original New York Group Theatre. Students explore how to perceive a character’s core motivations, understand the given circumstances, and respond with honest psycho-physical impulses within the scene.
Designed for actors of all levels seeking depth, clarity, and a committed practice.
