Celebrate Black History Month with International Museum of Dance & SHACK15
The International Museum of Dance (museumdance.org) and SHACK15 will present a special evening of performance and discussion on February 20 at 6 PM at SHACK15 in the San Francisco Ferry Building. The event will feature MOLODI, IMOD’s Artists in Residence, a percussive dance company known for blending body percussion, step, and storytelling into high-energy, immersive performances.
Following the performance, a talk-back panel will explore the impact of IMOD’s Artist in Residence program on arts education in the San Francisco Unified School District. The discussion will include IMOD’s Chief Executive Director Joy Hermsen, MOLODI’s dance artists, and representatives from SFUSD Arts.
IMOD is dedicated to preserving and celebrating dance through immersive experiences, residencies, and education programs. The Artist in Residence program connects professional dance artists with communities and schools to support arts education and engagement.
Tickets are $20, with all proceeds going directly to the artists.
