“Lost & Found” is an Inclusive Performance work about the losses since the pandemic and visions of emerging futures that can arise from the wreckage. The work welcomes performers of all ages, sizes, shapes, abilities/disabilities, ancestries, artistic backgrounds, experience levels, and body identities to join in as a "community chorus" in the performances at El Rio on April 30th and May 7th.
This workshop will introduce interested community members to the Wandering Ensemble's open approaches to movement, sound-making, story-telling, and group improvisation. Participants can then choose to join the ensemble for one or more of the performances if they'd like.
Instructions to Participants / Venue
Participants are invited to bring any adaptive devices they use to help move (i.e. wheelchairs, canes, walkers, etc.) and we will incorporate those into the explorations. You are also invited to reflect on losses you've experienced since the start of the COVID pandemic, and if there are any things that have come forth in the wake of the losses, or that you would like to see come forth in the emerging futures. For questions about the workshop would be participants can contact ensemble director Eric Kupers at [email protected]
