CAJUN DANCE with the AUX CAJUNALS feat. SUZY & ERIC THOMPSON - DINNER & A SHOW at Rancho Nicasio!
Put on your dancing shoes for a night of Cajun dancehall music, with some blues and country thrown in for good measure! Powerhouse fiddler and singer Suzy Thompson, who leads the band, is a "musician’s musician" who has worked with Maria Muldaur, Laurie Lewis, Jim Kweskin etc. She and guitar ace Eric Thompson have performed and recorded with many Cajun greats, including Ann Savoy, Cedric Watson, Steve Riley, DL Menard, Michael Doucet, and (for 20 years) Danny Poullard & the California Cajun Orchestra. The other Aux Cajunals are: Agi Ban (Midnite Ramblers, Queen Ida) on fiddle, Karen Celia Heil on rhythm guitar, daughter Allegra Thompson (host of KPFA’s “Pig in a Pen” radio show) on bass and vocals and Michaelle Goerlitz on drums.
