Pacifica Historical Society Talk
"Lost Gas Stations of San Mateo County" is a new book written by Bruce Cumming and Nick Veronico. The authors will present a talk on the topic at the Pacifica Coastside Museum on Sunday March 16, 2025. at 3PM, and will sell and sign their book. The Museum is located in the historic Little Brown Church building in the Sharp Park District of Pacifica, the area that had the first gas stations in town, most of which were demolished in the early 1960's when the Highway #1 freeway was built. Pacifica hosted 25 gas stations during their peak, the earliest dating from before WWII. The lecture is free but donations are always appreciated.
