The 2025 Dance Jam season, From the Ground Up, is a contemporary dance performance produced and performed by ODC’s resident pre-professional dance company. Directed by ODC School Director and Associate Choreographer Kimi Okada and Associate Director Doug Gillespie, this year’s Jam is made up of eight passionate and talented young dancers ages 16-18, who are at the advanced level at the ODC school. For 14 hours a week, they cross train in ballet and contemporary, as well as study composition and choreography. The ODC Dance Jam’s dynamic season will showcase five works, including two premieres from guest choreographer Babatunji Johnson and former Dance Jam Associate Director Dexandro Montalvo and three repertory pieces.
