K. Sid Zhang with Moon Dog presents "Postmortem II"

Postmortem II Toying with the detective fiction genre with a bizarre twist, the Postmortem series traces the investigations by a detective duo within a black-and-white cityscape as they roam in search of a mystery among vast memories and existential oblivion. Inspired by absurdist theatre, Roberto Bolaño’s “detective” poems from The Romantic Dogs, and the streets of San Francisco, these performances visualize a post-apocalyptic world at the convergence of abstraction and mundanity. The first Postmortem premiered at Church of Clown, SF, in July 2025. Postmortem II reimagines and rearranges the scenario of the previous show, continuing the themes with more unexpected elements: love, robots, and dinosaurs. Artist Biographies K.
