The purpose of the 7 Generations Intertribal Council is to elevate the viability and visibility of indigenous peoples as a contemporary and valued asset of this modern world and society, Mendoza noted.
Native Americans are still here in Solano County. “A lot of people think we’re not here anymore. I love seeing the community come together and have real eye openings to our culture. An event like this helps transcend stereotypes.” Mendoza said.
The program is free and open to the public. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Decaf coffee and doughnuts will be provided.
