A Golden Hour: Rombauer Wine Dinner at The Beach Chalet
The Beach Chalet Brewery & Restaurant will be hosting a Rombauer Vineyards Wine Dinner on Thursday, March 12 beginning at 6:30 PM. Guests will be able to enjoy, while overlooking the Pacific Ocean at sunset, four courses from Executive Chef Jose Mendoza, each of which will be paired with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, or Pinot Noir. The prix fixe meal is priced at $130.00 per person excluding tax and gratuity and will include Lobster Bisque & Caviar, Day Boat Scallops, Beef Wellington, and Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème. Rombauer Vineyards was established in 1980 in Napa Valley and the acclaimed winery remains owned by multiple generations of a family that included Irma Rombauer who originally authored the renowned cookbook Joy of Cooking. California-style Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are hallmarks for their distinctive, fruit-driven expressions of these varieties and more.
For decades known for its contemporary and classic seafood-centric American fare, Beach Chalet is housed in an historic building now home to the Golden Gate Park Visitors’ Center at the Western edge of the park fronting the ocean.
