JAZZ MAFIA
The Jazz Mafia, an eclectic artist collective of forward-thinking and accomplished players in Electro, Hip-Hop, World, Classical, and Jazz, is led by co-founder, bassist, composer, and arranger Adam Theis. The collective has garnered a reputation for its collaborative and risk-taking spirit, and over the years has worked with Roy Ayers, Lyrics Born, Zion-I, Rebelution, Latyrx, Galactic, Ledesi, Blackalicious, and Jackie Greene, to name a few. Recently, the collective has performed at sold out residencies at the SFJazz. Theis has curated an eight piece version of the Jazz Mafia for the Bach performance. Join us for this annual listening and dance concert in which we listen in assigned seating for the first set and remove the chairs and dance for the second set!
