The Family Dance Film Festival 2025 is a joyful day-long celebration of dance, creativity, and community in Berkeley. Hosted at Luna Dance & Creativity’s new community dance center, the festival brings families together to experience the magic of dance on screen.
Over the course of one day (four sessions: 9:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm & 4pm), children and caregivers can enjoy a curated mix of classic and contemporary dance films designed to inspire imagination, spark laughter, and inspire everyone to move. Each screening highlights the power of storytelling through dance, showcasing works that celebrate cultural diversity, creativity, and the expressive world of childhood.
Beyond the films, the festival creates an immersive, family-friendly atmosphere with opportunities to stretch, play, and connect. Luna’s teaching artists and community partners help transform the space into an interactive hub where kids and grownups can explore movement, learn together, and experience dance as a joyful part of everyday life. Participants can participate in a prize-drawing.
