February Artists in the Del Mue Galleries: Julie Egger, Leo den Ouden, Emily Akemon and Alan Weiler

The San Geronimo Valley Community Center proudly presents the art of Leo den Ouden, Emily Akemon, Julie Egger and Alan Weiler in the Maurice Del Mue Galleries through February. There will be a reception for the artists on Sunday, February 16th from 4 - 7 pm. In the West Room, Leo den Ouden is displaying his watercolor paintings. Leo is part of the collective of watercolor artists taught by Marty Meade. Leo den Ouden has previously exhibited work in the Community Center’s Spring Art Shows and Gallery Route One Box Shows. This is Leo’s first solo exhibition at the Community Center. In the Valley Room, Emily Akemon's Restitch Quilts are on display. Emily's quilts are pieced from up-cycled t shirts, belts and scrap fabrics. This is her first time showing work at the Community Center. Also in the Valley Room, Julie Egger's photographs are on display. Julie is well known in the San Geronimo Valley as a musician who performs violin in the band Poetic Ruckus. She has previously shown a piece in the Community Center's Spring Art Show, however this is the first time a body of her work has been on display. Poetic Ruckus is performing at the Community Center on February 8th. Last, in the Valley Room, Alan Weiler's A.I. assisted art illustrates "Red Dragon, Blue Dragon", his original children's storybook for ages 5-11. All proceeds from the sales of his book are being donated to the Community Center.
