2025 Films of Remembrance


WHAT: The 14th annual Films of Remembrance, the premier showcase of films on the forced removal and incarceration of more than 120,000 persons of Japanese descent in American concentration camps during World War II, will be held in four California cities. For the first time ever, the two-day event in the Bay Area is expanding to a four-day event with two Southern California locations, encompassing all three remaining Japantowns. A record 19 films will be presented throughout four venues, bringing in filmmakers from as far as South Korea and the East Coast, shedding light on a dark chapter of American history.
