Relay For Life of Pacifica Coastside
Relay is a walking event, not a race. Don't let the word "Relay" deter you, it is simply a COMMUNITY of people that are taking turns walking the track to symbolize the ongoing fight against cancer as well as raising funds for research and patient support.
Planning meetings take place at the Pacifica Moose Lodge at 776 Bradford Way, Pacifica. Next meeting is May 11 at 6:30p. It is best to join our monthly meetings to understand the full scope of Relay activities, timing, helpful hints and general participation guidelines. Attendance is ideally in person, however registered team captains will receive a zoom invite the day of the meeting. Subsequent meetings: June 8, 22 & July 13.
For Teams, advance registration is required via website, ideally ASAP for our planning purposes and your information gathering.
For Survivors that would like to join us, even if just for opening ceremony and Survivor lap, please register ASAP (by June 15) to insure your Survivor T-shirt arrives before Relay.
For individual participants that want to just come "day of" and participate by walking, supporting on site fundraisers and being part of the community, registration can be done on site starting at 9am.
Any pre-registered participant who raises or donates $100 will be eligible for a Relay For Life T-shirt (link will get emailed to you after donation is processed and credited to your registration).
Event details: Starts at 10am with an opening ceremony, followed by a Survivor lap and Team first laps
Program during the day includes DJ & live music, Polynesian dance, Zumba and Mr. Softy
Luminaria remembrance ceremony is at 9pm followed by a closing lap before 10pm
General rules: No dogs allowed on site, no smoking, no alcohol.
Teams can use popup tents (with weights/not stakes) to have a site for the day where they typically also do a fundraising activity (raffles, sell craft items, etc.)
Note: selling baked goods are NOT allowed without proper licensing and permitting which must go through Event Lead
