SACRA/PROFANA presents: The Infinite and the Divine
SACRA/PROFANA, San Diego’s premiere choral ensemble, presents The Infinite and the Divine, exploring humanity’s fascination with the celestial bodies that have inspired artists, philosophers, and theologians throughout human history. Led by SACRA/PROFANA Assistant Conductor Aaron Burgett, the musical selections weave together ancient philosophies, celestial myths, and exquisite choral artistry. Featuring wide-ranging composers from Jacob Collier to Krishan Oberoi to Franz Joseph Haydn, this concert invites audiences to experience a transcendent musical voyage through the cosmos, glimpsing our universe through the lens of such visionaries as Saint John, Pythagoras, and J.R.R Tolkien.
