Escondido Ups & Downs Roller Rink and Holiday Markets
Celebrate the season with markets, music and skating in the heart of downtown Escondido.
The popular temporary Ups & Downs Roller Rink returns, “skating off” on Friday, Dec. 5 and running through Jan. 3, at Maple Street Plaza, near Grand Avenue. Lace up those skates and roll into the fun – open Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 8:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5; skaters can bring their own skates or rent a pair on-site for $5.
The Market on the Plaza brings together local makers and artists for three festive weekends of holiday shopping and celebration, also kicking off on Friday, Dec. 5. Located at Maple Street Plaza, shoppers explore handmade goods, homemade treats, and original art. Holiday markets will take place Fridays from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 8:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4:00 p.m., with musical guests setting the holiday mood.
Additionally, the City of Escondido is rolling out a Yiftee gift card program where you can purchase gift cards that can be redeemed at a variety of Escondido businesses.
